Oh the Places You’ll Go…

Another wonderful thing about the game of golf is the destination of the game. What I mean by that is that you can be anywhere in the country, almost anywhere in the world and never be too far from a golf course.

Over time, and with experience you learn to appreciate a finely trimmed golf course. You learn what it takes to make a golf course be in supreme shape. As well, as what it costs to maintain and play one. As you travel from course to course you will have some favorites. The reasoning for those favorites could vary. It could be scenery, it could be the shape of the course, the layout of the course, or even because of the employees/staff.

I am writing this post because I am getting the chance to play one of my favorites this weekend. Lost Key Golf Club, in Perdido Key, FL. This is a truly breath taking track. Water and trouble, everywhere. The greens typically roll about a 12 on the stimp meter. A par 71, with 4 par 5’s makes it unique as it is. But when you include the level of difficulty of this golf course it is truly amazing. I’m going to put together a game plan of how to best attack this course and see how it goes!

I am looking forward to checking back in with you guys and telling you how it went! Thank you for reading and goodluck out there!
